WHAT TO EXPECT WITH WOOD?

When your cabinets are in place, the wood will adjust to your humidity and the light exposure. This will cause the cabinets to swell or shrink minimally. You may notice that you need to adjust your cabinet doors, so below we have given videos on how to adjust the doors. Wood is a natural resource, and with that comes the natural phenomenon of darkening of the wood. This happens with any species of wood, but it is more noticeable with woods such as Cherry or Walnut. This is completely normal. Keep in mind when choosing your wood and your stain choices, that no matter the wood you choose, the color will darken with age. If you have any other questions, please give us a call or email us at info@classic-ind.com

We are proud of our finish.

  • Excellent Clarity
  • UV absorber added providing good resistance to ambering
  • Meets test requirements of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) for finishes
  • Excellent durability and mar resistance
  • Excellent moisture resistance
  • Excellent resistance to household chemicals
  • Excellent cold check resistance
  • Ideal for kitchen cabinets, vanities, chairs, office furniture, and a wide range of interior wood products

DOOR OVERLAYS

Below are the 3 different types of door overlays that we offer and what they imply.

  • Standard Overlay-  This overlay is the "normal" overlay that we do for our company. This entails that the doors are all 1/2" overlayed onto the face frame.

  • Full Overlay- This overlay is to basically see no gaps between the doors and drawers. With this overlay, it is to look as though all of your cabinet doors and drawers are close together and that it is a continuous feed of cabinets throughout the room.

  • Inset- This overlay is to where there is not definition in the cabinet doors and drawers to the faceframe. When looking at this type of overlay, a customer will see that the doors and drawers are flush with the face frame.
